The CatPack program has identified several key apps that we use to further our learning and to demonstrate that learning to others. For some purposes, such as note taking, there are many good apps available but we standardize on one (Notability) so that we can minimize the time needed to learn the technology and get to using the technology faster. In other cases we have found apps that are key to the way we teach and learn in CatPack. Explain Everything is a good example of this kind of app.
Using our bulk purchasing power through Apple’s Volume App store we purchase the identified key apps at a reduced cost and put together an “App Bundle” that we make available to our CatPack students in September at a great savings over what it would cost them to purchase them individually.
