We might be in the spirit for holiday celebration, but we still have another week to go!  This past week, we’ve been taking the school by storm to spread holiday cheer to staff and students alike AND our community!  We’ve also been playing host to a Hallmark film crew and a basketball tournament.  This coming week is a continuation of our spirit week, Festive Flex and our warm clothing drive.

IN THE CLASSROOM

Classroom doors this week were decorated with a bit of a competitive edge!  If you are able to come to the building this week, check out some of the VERY creative work done by staff and students!

STAFF GIVING TREE

This year staff at Brookswood participated in a staff-wide toy drive for the Langley Christmas Bureau’s toy depot, which takes place December 16-18th.  Thank you to staff for taking time to purchase gifts for the toy depot.  Next year we are hoping to hold a school-wide giving tree to give even more gifts to this wonderful program, which serves over 1600 local children.

INFORMATION REGARDING REPORT CARDS

On Monday morning report cards are being finalized and will be released.  Parents will get a formal email when official reports cards have been published in MyEd.

Please contact the office if you are unable to log in.

WRESTLING

Some of our Brookswood students competed this past week, on behalf of BSS!  Great job!

War on the Floor is one of the largest wrestling meets of the year.  Huge congrats to all of the wrestlers who battled hard – some of them battled on both days as some of the novice athletes needed the additional experience of competing against elite athletes.  A great tournament for Langley – as predicted – we are looking awesome and are a force to be reckoned with!

Elite Meet -Bronze Medal went to Brookswood’s Jassa Rhandawa!
